The Center lists associates in four tiers, determined by the number of hours of legal ASL interpreting training completed in the last three years. The requirements for each of the tiers are as follows:

  • Tier I: 15 hours or less
  • Tier II: More than 15 hours and less than 25 hours
  • Tier III: More than 25 hours and less than 35 hours
  • Tier IV: 35 hours or more

If you are accepted as an associate, you will receive an email reminder each year to update your profile, including any training received in the past twelve months. Only training for the past thirty-six months will be counted in determining total hours for tier assignment.
