ISI is an advanced conference designed for interchange between experienced legal ASL interpreters and leaders in the field of legal interpreting. Presenters are selected for the fresh and cutting-edge material that they can bring to the participants, and each session is structured so that, in addition to the presentation, there is ample time for questions and discussions. Participants must provide evidence of at least 24 seminar hours of introduction to or fundamentals of legal interpreting training and hold valid RID certification: CT, CI, CI and CT, CSC, SC: L, CDI, NAD V, and/or NIC national certification.* Registrants who have furnished the required documentation to register for previous ISI conferences are not required to submit documentation again.

A copy of your current RID or NAD membership card and a copy of your RID CEU transcript or copies of certificates of completion should accompany your registration. A limited number of auditor spaces may be available for those who wish to attend, but do not yet have the required qualifications. Click here for information on auditing Iron Sharpens Iron.

*Waivers for specific state credentials for legal interpreting may be requested.
